Moving Antics onto a new PC?

"Very interested to hear if anyone has success with this solution."

Laplink

PCmover can migrate your PC across a network, Laplink USB cable, Windows Easy Transfer Cable or any type of removable media that can be read by both PCs. If your computer has multiple users, PCmover gives you the option to migrate some or all of the users at once. The security information about file ownership and access control is preserved for each user. You can even use PCmover to migrate your PC to an Intel-based Mac

I almost feel like handing Antics3d 5.1 to some of all does hackers/crackers out there and hope they'll come up with a solution to install the program again without the activation. I haven't used Antics in a quite a while but recently had to do a quick previz for a project, installed it and realized that it's not possible to actived it anymore. Bummer!

I did some Research and found the old Blog forum here and notice that this is has been a huge discussed topic.

So if anyone know "in secret of course" someone who might have a chance to crack the software.. I'm pretty sure it can be done legally since there is no one to lose a profit over lost sells anymore.
And if there is, I would almost hope it would go to court. Because they would lose big time!

Anyone else think this is an option to move on?

Seems like a good idea this laplink stuff, but what do you say about the guys at Antics, How hard is it to just maintain the website for activation and saving people like us who bought the software from hassles like i've been facing as Antics cannot be unlocked from my Laptop. now i have to buy another software to save Antics which i Purchased. How cheap can the guys at antics be???

No one is happy about the way Antics handled this the most of which is me! But the Hex Editor is FREE so I don't know what additional cost your talking about. To me the cost is in the time and effort needed to get it installed and running. I knew this was going to happen early on and asked Antics repeatedly to give us the activation key. But no, they said we will always keep the server activation going.
